Finding the perfect puppy isn’t just about picking a breed—it’s about finding a breeder you can trust. At Southern Rhodes, we prioritize the health and happiness of our puppies and the families they join. Our adoption process is designed to be clear, supportive, and stress-free, helping you welcome a new companion with confidence and joy.

Please read through all he information we provide on our site. Learn about us, the way we raise our dogs and puppies, and about the breed.

FILL OUT AN APPLICATION
Please take your time filling out the puppy application thoroughly. Answer as in-depth as possible and truthfully. It is essential to provide sufficient information for us to feel confident in approving you.

WE WILL BE IN TOUCH
We will reach out shortly after reviewing your application to schedule a phone call to chat more in depth! IF APPROVED, you will receive the contract to review and sign.

DEPOSIT
Once you sign the contract, a $250 non-reundable deposit will be collected, which will go towards the price of your puppy.

PICK A PUPPY TIME
Puppy picks will take place after temperament testing is done at 6 weeks old. Puppies will be ready to go home at 8 weeks old.
Investment
DEPOSITS
To reserve a puppy and be placed on our waiting list, a non-refundable deposit of $250 is
required. The deposit goes towards the entire price of the puppy. This deposit ensures that you are holding a spot for a puppy from one of our upcoming litters. If the gender you requested is not available, or if there are not enough puppies in the litter, you will have the option to transfer your deposit to a future litter or select from another available puppy.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, but it can be applied to a future litter if
necessary. We want to ensure that your experience with us is as smooth as possible, and we are here to help guide you through the process.
PRICING
All our puppies are priced at $2,000 with limited AKC registration, regardless of gender or
quality (pet quality or show quality). This pricing reflects the significant amount of time, effort, and care we invest in each puppy to ensure they are healthy, well-socialized, and ready to thrive in their new homes. We do not sell breeding rights. However, on rare occasions, we may make an exception for the right individual or established breeder. In such cases, both male and female puppies will be priced at $3,000.

Examined and vaccinations completed by a licensed veterinarian

Up to date on worming (breeder cannot guarantee the pup is free of parasites of whichthe breeder will not be held responsible for.)

Each puppy goes home with a personalized going home package that includes everything they’ll need to settle into their new life. This includes a supply of the food they’ve been eating, a blanket with the familiar scent of their mom and littermates, and various other helpful items. Additionally, we provide health records and my recommendation on a puppy training program that you can purchase online

HEALTH GUARANTEE
At Southern Rhodes, we prioritize raising structurally sound, healthy puppies. That’s why we use PennHip or OFA methods to predict joint health early. To support our commitment, we offer a two-year health guarantee against hip and elbow dysplasia, giving you peace of mind. Healthy development also depends on proper care, so we provide guidelines for feeding, exercise, and supplements to help your puppy thrive. Learn More
